Founded by disabled journalist and entrepreneur Philippa Willitts, Scribble and Bloom Community Interest Company is a social enterprise created to encourage self-expression (“scribble”) as a way to improve lives (“bloom”).

The benefits of self-expression can include improved mental health, better community cohesion and sharing information.

Scribble and Bloom's projects include creating written publications and podcasts, running zine-making workshops, and making information accessible to disabled people, with a particular focus on translating information into Easy Read documents for learning-disabled and autistic people; and working with marginalised groups and selected communities to produce written and audio work that encourages self-expression.
